Grandma’s Taco Soup

Not fussy, this recipe can easily be made with ingrediants straight from your pantry and freezer. A favorite for family gatherings and Sunday dinners, one batch feeds 6-8 healthy appetites.

  • 2 lbs Ranch Wives Ground Beef (thawed)
  • 2 cans pinto beans
  • 2 cans petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans Rotel tomatoes with chili peppers
  • 1 to 2 cans whole kernel corn
  • 1 to 2 packages of Taco Seasoning (2 packages will be abundantly seasoned and 1 package, mild)
  • 1 package original ranch dry mix
  • 1 large onion diced
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Brown ground beef in a large soup pot or Dutch oven
  2. Add onion and let sweat for about 3-5 minutes
  3. Rinse & drain beans and corn before adding to the pot. Add all remaining ingredients. Add one can of water.
  4. Simmer for 45 minutes to an hour. Alternatively, may cook in slow cooker on low for 8 hours & down to warm until serving
  5. Serve with garnishes of sour cream, cheddar cheese, sliced green onion, chopped cilantro & corn chips
